<description>I wonder if our joint interest in planning draws on common perception of factors to consider?
I wonder if we both (PEOPLE and Progress Energy) look to the seventh generation?
Is there a vision or mission statement associated with this planning for household energy?

If both parties tend to agree on basic assumptions, the situation becomes one of mutual support
rather than an adversarial match. In this, we may need to stretch to accommodate other points.
Stockholders for PE may have a similar vision regarding energy in the future. Likely financial profit and control issues should be explored and common ground found for the energy plan.

The priorities as mentioned in this letter are universal: clean air, global warming, etc.

Openness (which relaxes into understanding) doesn't seem to be a common trait in this culture.
By openness I mean acceptance or simple awareness; not unwarranted complicity or capitulation.
Humor goes a long way toward openness. A mediator helps by being open, without taking sides.

"please come to the table in dialogue to find the best solutions for our future. We request that you join us in creating a Sustainable Energy Task Force for WNC."
